Photo Box Instructions

For general purpose use, just upload your photo and our software will size it to the box cover you have selected. However, if you would like a perfect fit of the photo within the box frame, with no white space showing on any side, please following the three steps below.

1. On All Photos:

Set the image resolution to 300 dots per inch. This is important.

The 1/4 inch of your image, on all 4 sides, closest to the edge should have no critical photo content, such as text, or anything that should not be obscured. We tuck the 1/4" of the photo at the edge under the lid to remove any white borders.

2. Choose the correct box size, and the correct orientation, then follow these instructions in your photo editor:

1 Lb Photo Box
For a horizontal layout:
Make your image exactly 2706 pixels wide by 2244 pixels high. Leave a square of 697 by 697 pixels in the image's lower left corner with no critical photo material, such as text, as the Dan's logo will cover this area (you will not see this in the Preview, but it will be there).

For a vertical layout:
Make your image exactly 2244 pixels wide by 2706 pixels high. Leave a square of 697 by 697 pixels in the image's lower right corner with no critical photo material, such as text, as the Dan's logo will cover this area (you will not see this in the Preview, but it will be there).

1/2 Lb Photo box
For a horizontal layout:
Make your image exactly 2229 pixels wide by 1293 pixels high. Leave a square of 524 by 524 pixels in the image's lower left corner with no critical photo material, such as text, as the Dan's logo will cover this area (you will not see this in the Preview, but it will be there).

For a vertical layout:
Make your image exactly 1293 pixels wide by 2229 pixels high. Leave a square of 524 by 524 pixels in the image's lower right corner with no critical photo material, such as text, as the Dan's logo will cover this area (you will not see this in the Preview, but it will be there).

1/4 Lb Photo Box

For all layouts:
Make your image exactly 1176 pixels wide by 1176 pixels high. Leave a square of 413 by 413 pixels in the image's lower right corner with no critical photo material, such as text, as the Dan's logo will cover this area (you will not see this in the Preview, but it will be there).

3. Save your image as a .jpg or .gif.
